Slow

Today’s Count: 0

Additional Raptors Seen:

Black Vulture-1

Turkey Vulture-2

Cooper’s Hawk-1

Well, there were even stronger winds from the south today than yesterday resulting in another poor day.  Species diversity from the tower barely cracked the 30s.  Most noteworthy were the more than 600 swallows seen, mainly Cliff/Cave and Barn.  Half a dozen Purple Martins were seen near the end of the count as well.

Just a few Gnatcatchers and hummingbirds today and one flock of 16 Dickcissels.  Black Terns have been in small numbers until today when at least 45 were seen. Tomorrow’s forecast looks like it’ll be more of the same as these past two days.
