Smith Point Hawkwatch report for Oct 11. A clear sky with a modest east wind that shifted to southeast and got robust. An upside-down day with most birds arriving between 2 and 4:30, Including most of the kestrels and 220 Broad -wings at 3:50. The accipiters took the day off. Roughly 5000 White Ibis went west and a very consistent swallow flight had momentum until 4 when they shifted to the east to not cross in the wind. David Hanson, Joel, Bob Mitchum and Dave and J were integral to the count. Bob
